SAOIRSE WALDRON
Saoirse graduated from Plymouth University with B.Sc. (Hons) in Podiatry, holding certificates in the administration of local analgesia and prescription only medication (POMs).
Saoirse has carried out further professional development in the following areas; Wound Management, Podo-Paediatrics (Children’s Foot-care) and Gait Analysis and Biomechanics.
Since graduating she has also completed further study in Joint Mobilisation, Ankle Mobilisation, Soft tissue Mobilisation, as well as the application of Acupuncture and Dry Needling. Along side this completing Postgraduate Studies at University of Ulster focusing on Biomechanics and Gait analysis along with specialist prescription orthotics.
Currently, she is undertaking a 3 year part-time Masters in Foot and Ankle Surgery, which will provide further expertise treating more complicated injuries.
While at University in the U.K, Saoirse has experience in all areas of Podiatry having worked with patients in an NHS Primary Care Centers across the South West of England, including The National Hospital For Rheumatic Diseases in Bath, assessing the lower limb complications of arthritis focusing on Ankylosing Spondylitis. The Sports Department at Cirencester NHS and the Paediatric Department in Plymouth NHS.
